Number One Cathedral Green is set to offer 95,000 sq ft of grade A office accommodation over 5 floors, 20,000 sq ft of shops and restaurants and 74 apartments. The adjacent Grade II Listed former Magistrate’s Court building will be transformed into a further 30,000 sq ft of office space, restoring a neglected landmark building.
Located in the heart of Derby's Cathedral Quarter, the development lies adjacent the Cathedral, is in a UNESCO World Heritage buffer zone, as well as lying beside the River Derwent and is immediately adjacent to the parkland of Cathedral Green.
The development of this challenging and sensitive site creates the opportunity to bring activity back to a key area of the city. The Grade II Listed courthouse will have a new and viable future, being restored in sympathy with its fabric and character. The development has been designed to connect visually and physically with the newly landscaped parkland of adjacent Cathedral Green and will enhance the public realm of the riverside.
