Ian studied at Leeds Metropolitan University where he gained his RIBA part 1 and 2 qualifications. Ian became a Chartered Architect in 1998.

Ian has worked in practice in the East Midlands gaining experience and demonstrating his design, contract and technical ability over a broad range of projects.

Since joining maber Ian has worked on a wide variety of high profile city centre, cultural and education projects in both the East Midlands and London. Ian has a passion for great design that meets the needs of clients and building users. Along with commercial acumen and a desire to deliver excellence, Ian believes that good customer service is the key to building long standing relationships with clients.

Along with Sean Lyall, Ian founded the Derby office in 2003 and has been working successfully to broaden the practice’s local involvement ever since.  In 2009 Ian was made a Director of maber.
