We’re pleased to announce that Planning Approval and Listed Building Consent has been secured to upgrade these Grade II Listed Almshouses.

The six historic cottages, that date back to 1712, will have internal remodelling of the kitchens and bathrooms. The leaking flat roofs at the rear will be replaced with traditional pitched roofs. A full thermal upgrade using breathable materials, including sheep’s wool, have been detailed.

The use of our thermal camera has been beneficial and helped target areas that are most in need, ensuring that the budget is spent wisely on the thermal upgrade. Secondary glazing will be used to improve energy efficiency whilst allowing preservation of the original windows and important street scene of the village.
