We’ve been asked to design a residential scheme, on behalf of Abode Nottingham Ltd, to bring a prominent historical site back to life, in Nottingham’s Lace Market.

The scheme, on the site of High Pavement and Short Hill, proposes to convert and restore four Listed buildings and to develop two, new five and seven storey buildings, all around a central courtyard.

Much of the site has been empty since bombing raids in the Second World War devastated the area. The development includes Grade II Listed buildings, several of which have been unoccupied for many years.

‘Trivett Square’ represents a great opportunity to mend the historic fabric of the area, sympathetically restoring the street scene to Short Hill, as well as the cliff frontage to Malin Hill.

The proposals are for a mix of apartments ranging from one bed apartments to three bed units, creating 115 dwellings for the private rental market, with 24 hour on site management and an underground car park form.
