We are taking part in this year’s Park(ing) Day in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and we want you to come along and join us on Friday 19 September 2025.

Park(ing) Day is an annual global event focused on rethinking the potential of urban areas, particularly parking spots. Given the increasing challenges in urban communities like social isolation and climate change, Park(ing) Day effectively illustrates how a single parking space can be transformed to better serve the needs of the community, going beyond just vehicle accommodation.

With growing awareness of mental health, our parking space aims to demonstrate how even small spaces can significantly enhance our well-being.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in Mindfulness sessions led by our own Mindfulness Expert, Sara Abekova; to learn about designing and creating mindful spaces from architects and designers, or to sit quietly, rest, reflect and focus the mind away from daily stress.

We will create a green oasis, formed by a collection of plants that offer an immersive and relaxing experience. There will be fun games to engage and focus the mind away from daily stress, as well as a creativity corner to sketch, colour and create.

Park(ing) Day is co-ordinated through The Jewellery Quarter BID in partnership with Define Planning and Design with support from Birmingham City Council and Enterprise Zones.  There will be lots of organisations taking part.

You can find our space at Caroline Street, which runs through the heart of the Jewellery Quarter.

We look forward to seeing you there!
