It was a pleasure to take part in Experian’s ‘Environment Day’, which launched the company’s newly refurbished regional ‘hub’ and their sustainably reimagined landscaped campus.

As landscape architects for the scheme, maber undertook the challenging brief of improving the site’s environmental performance, in keeping with Experian’s commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030 and marrying this with the requirement to provide additional parking to meet the demands of Experian’s new hybrid working strategy that will see more staff using the site.

The resulting design doesn’t just provide sustainable benefits, as an attractive and engaging work environment it embraces staff wellbeing too and presents plenty of opportunities for Experian’s staff to become involved with new initiatives on site in partnership with local organisations. Including beekeeping, food growing, habitat interpretation and the opportunity for exercise in the landscape.

The Environment Day event included guests Cllr David Mellen, leader of Nottingham City Council, and Chief Executive Mel Barratt of Nottingham City Council, who planted a tree to mark the official opening of the newly refurbished building and site.

Members of maber’s landscape architecture team were also on hand to share their knowledge and distribute 500 packets of wildflower seeds to Experian staff as part of maber‘s pollinator project.
