Building Regulations Principal Designers
Building Regulations Principal Designers have an important new role in ensuring that projects comply with the Building Regulations during the design stages.
We believe that when acting as Lead Designer we are best placed to fulfil the role of Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) in relation to the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA), including Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs).
As a practice we have embraced the new Building Safety Act regime and have invested in developing the skills and processes necessary to support all our Clients on this journey.
Our capability is evidenced by our successful Building Safety Act Gateway 2 Approval for a new build residential development – one of the first new-build HRB approvals in the country.
CDM Principal Designer
As CDM Principal Designers, we can assist our clients in fulfilling their obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). Design choices made in the pre-construction phase greatly impact the project’s delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals impacted by the construction work.
We have successfully delivered this role for our Clients over many years and embrace its inclusion at the heart of the design process.
