Our talented team are demonstrating their musical virtuosity by taking part in this year’s Hot Property event.

Simon Cottrell (Project Architect), Gary Matthews (Architectural Technologist), Tim Boxford (Associate) and Emma Atkins (Business Development Manager) are all taking part in the annual event, which this year is being held on 10th November at Nottingham’s Pryzm nightclub.

The annual live show, performed entirely by amateur musicians and singers from the Nottinghamshire property and construction industry, raises money for various local and national children’s charities, including the Children’s Oncology Wards at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Childline and When you Wish upon a Star Foundation.

Emma comments: “After attending last year’s show, we thought it would be a great idea for maber to get involved, as I knew that quite a few of our staff played instruments and some were previously members of bands. I don’t play an instrument, but I figured that if I volunteered to sing, even though I’ve never even done karaoke, that I could get some of the team to be part of the band.

This year’s theme is The Sounds of Hollywood – all well-known film songs. I’m singing solo on The Spy Who Loved Me in the Bond section, with my colleagues playing in the band. We started rehearsals in September and with only weeks to go, we are busy practising.

“The event raises money for worthwhile causes through ticket sales – so make sure to buy your ticket today! We have purchased lots of tickets for our team to come and support the cause – we hope to see you there.”
