Royal Standard Hill is a 2.6 hectare site that lies within the Nottingham Park Conservation and Castle Conservation Area. It is historically significant being the place where the Royal Standard was raised by King Charles I during the Civil War.

The site includes three listed buildings which were converted and restored as part of the redevelopment. Due to the significance of the site, every new building was scrutinised through a public consultation process.

Two major contemporary new build elements comprise the majority of the accommodation, enclosing The Arena, an amphitheater styled public open space at the heart of the development.

 

Aside from the site masterplanning, maber provided architectural services and designed and executed the development of c200 luxury apartments at developments including Royal Standard House, City Point, The Arena and Tower House.

The luxury apartments, with stunning views over Nottingham Castle are furnished with bespoke interiors and a simple palette of light colours and open truss ceilings creating a light and spacious open plan living space.
