Great news – the King’s CE School, Kidsgrove, won the SIPS Project of the Year award in the Low Energy Project category at the Structural Timber Awards.

The three storey, King’s CE School is the largest SIP built school project in the UK.

Using the structural insulated panel system gave many sustainable benefits to the project and enabled us to deliver an energy efficient, value for money and sustainable building to the client. Manufactured by Innovaré Systems, the SIPS method allowed for off-site construction that could be installed on site with minimal waste and disruption resulting in significant savings in the overall build programme timing. Aside from their excellent insulating properties, the systems are also fully recyclable.
