Plans for an exciting, energy efficient, new School in Coventry are soon to be submitted for Planning Approval.

The two storey new build will replace two outdated existing buildings that are earmarked for demolition.  It will be located on the same site and temporary accommodation will ensure continuity of facilities for the school during the build process.  The Locally Listed Moat Building will be retained and refurbished too.

The proposed redevelopment also includes improved external accessibility around the site, a wonderfully increased woodland area and a new level hard play area. New accessible parking spaces and extra cycle spaces and shelters are also proposed.

With sustainable features, including a green roof, the new building will help to tackle climate change through minimising energy demand and using low carbon and renewable energy solutions. Solar panels are also proposed on the roof.  The project has a goal of achieving Net Zero Carbon in Operation and the green roof will contribute to achieving biodiversity net gain.

The improved accommodation will provide classrooms, a hall, library, kitchen, and specialist learning and support spaces.

The proposals are out for Public Consultation and the Planning Application is aimed to be submitted in May 2024.
