Rona assists teams on various projects with a strong belief that collaborative work garners the greatest results.

Rona’s master thesis, ‘Towards a Territory of Care’, focussed on care at the heart of architecture, and how care can drive design forwards from the macro, large-scale spatial massing, to the micro, small details within a scheme. This approach manifested itself as a building with care as its programme – a reimagined maternity hospital, driven by research and a focus on making typically institutional buildings more humane. It has been nominated for the RSUA President’s Silver Medal and RIBA President’s Silver Medal prizes.

She has an interest in public sector buildings and values the importance of grounding a project in its context, with Scandinavian architecture a source of inspiration.
