The Games, Europe’s largest annual multi sports festival for businesses, was hosted by the City for the first time and took place over four days.
Numerous sporting activities were held from individual to team events and saw competitors travel from nationwide. A parade on the Saturday, with a carnival atmosphere, got everyone in a social mood.

Ed Day got through to the last 16 in the individual men’s table tennis – even though he’s only 11.
Our teams that entered the dragon boat race improved as the weekend went on. Finishing around mid-table of 21 teams on the Saturday, the Sunday team really excelled. An exciting semi-final saw us pipped to the post by just 1 second as Notts Police paddled to be the winning team.
A party for all on the Saturday evening obviously did the trick for the Sunday performance.
