Officially opened by the Rt Hon Sir Patrick McLoughlin MP, the Academy will offer a new range of diplomas, apprenticeships and traineeships in engineering subjects including land-based technology, agricultural and motorsport.
The academy includes an advanced mechatronics lab and the Festo ‘dancing’ robots proved a hit with the guests.
The celebrations were topped off with a fantastic cake, in the form of the historic Granary building, made by local company Stafford 3d cakes, and looked too good to eat.
