Icknield Port Loop, Birmingham has won two BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries Awards). These national awards are one of the landscape industries’ highest accolades.

The Port Loop scheme has seen a redundant urban island, on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre transform to a new family-focussed waterside neighbourhood with a park forming central Birmingham’s first new public green space in over a decade.

The initial design of the £1m park was by Grant Associates. Maber’s Landscape team took the scheme forward from planning approval to delivery, working with the contractor Talbot Landscapes to ensure the concept Landscape Architect’s aspirations were maintained.

The scheme has won two BALI Awards – the Community & Schools Development Award and the £500k+ Regeneration Scheme Award.
