The development will create 122 managed private rental residential apartments with related shared resident amenity areas, including a residents’ lounge. Secure parking for cycles will also be provided.

A prominent site within the Station Conservation Area, the Chainey Place name makes reference to the historic ‘Chainey Pool’ that was located there. The scheme includes an existing Victorian building which has fallen into disrepair, and this will be renovated and converted into apartments including two-storey duplexes.

The Planning Committee members praised the design, commenting that “everybody involved in this should be congratulated.”

Chainey Place is 5 minutes from Nottingham’s train station and the City Centre and adjacent to the Saffron Court development, which has recently completed.
