The Urgent Care Centre is a key component as the first phase of the wider proposals for the redevelopment of the Willowbrook Health Care facilities for Corby. This in turn will potentially be the catalyst for the regeneration of the whole site.

The centre provides patients with access to a wider range of diagnostic facilities such as endoscopies, x-ray, ultrasound and the ability to undertake a wide range of day case surgeries, which enables patients to be treated closer to home.

 

We have worked with maber to produce detailed masterplanning, design and project management of our strategic development vision for health and social care.
The project team they provided were innovative and responsive at all stages of the projects they were engaged on, delivering timely and quality outcomes to the brief they had been set.
The first brief they were engaged on was masterplanning and design of a local community hospital. The first phase is an Urgent Care Centre, maber have worked closely with a wide range of stakeholders to make this happen including collaboration with our P21+ framework contractor to implement construction.

The main design for the UCC takes influence from Corby’s industrial evolution of the steelwork industry and its future aspirations to promote the ancient woodland surrounding the town. This has developed a simple style of a metal clad element (Corby’s past) embracing a natural timber element and its landscaped surroundings (Corby’s future). Through use of building forms, materials and internal finishes this concept has influenced the design of the building.

 

We continue to engage maber through our P21+ partner on phase 2 and 3 of the above development and the rationalisation of other sites across Northamptonshire.
We have found maber to be a professional company in all aspects of their work and a competent resource in the delivery of our estate management. Given the above we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other clients.
