The facility has a large steel portal frame with fabric skin that allows training to take place indoors all year round. The fabric covering creates a light airy environment in which to train and reduces the need for artificial light.
The Academy building itself includes changing rooms, physiotherapy room, the coaches room and the Academy Director’s office.
The main focus is a players meeting area with seating, snack bar and canteen. The vibrant colourful red and white interior promotes the clubs brand and provides an appropriate environment for the team and academy players to relax and socialise.
Works within the training complex have been conducted in phases since 2000.
