Conservation
The new three storey building is on the busy High Street and adjoins Listed buildings. It provides 1180m2 of high quality retail accommodation. The project required a detailed consultation process due to the sensitive location in order to achieve planning approval.
The site was also subject to a detailed archaeological dig due to the possibility of Mediaeval and Roman remains being discovered.
The shopfronts were carefully designed using high quality materials including natural stone facings and colour coated aluminium windows that are sympathetic to the building’s surroundings.
