Blue Light & MOD / Defence
Designed and constructed with environmentally friendly features, the contemporary scheme reflects the countryside setting. The buildings have been clad with timber panels in four different colours to give the appearance of camouflage with a contrasting dark brick base.
The three new buildings, provide a range of amenities such as lecture rooms, training areas, office spaces, indoor 25m shooting range as well as dining facilities and sleeping accommodation with ensuite facilities for up to 185 cadets and 45 adult volunteers at any one time.
The works also included the construction of new roads, landscaping, a bin & garage store and guard room. The works were carefully phased to allow the continued use of some of the buildings prior to their demolition at the end of the construction phase.
