The Construction Academy facility offers tailored workshop spaces to teach students practical skills such as plastering, bricklaying, joinery and painting & decorating whilst working alongside other trades. The workshop spaces offer open learning zones, specialist equipment and will house custom teaching booths and roof rigs for students to learn and develop their skills.

The 3,000 sqm building has the capacity for around 1,000 learners and has been designed with future flexibility in mind with expansion space available for all the courses. The first floor area has space immediately available for growth to respond to course demands and offer new areas to the curriculum in the coming years and planning permission has already been granted for the possible extension.

Located between the Roundhouse Campus and Johnson building as part of the larger Derby College presence on Pride Park, the facility is close to the railway station, city centre and bus station.

maber have continued our relationship with Derby College as a key client after designing both adjacent facilities on Pride Park including the award winning Roundhouse Campus.
