A substantial amenity space includes social lounges, quiet study areas, meeting rooms, a gym, a multi-purpose area, a cinema room, a community kitchen and a managed laundry. This provides an enhanced student offer as well as an active street frontage, forming a showcase for the development. These areas link to the shared, central courtyard which acts as a social focus for all residents.

The development has been designed to minimise long term energy use through a fabric first approach and active management, balanced with an efficient combined heat and power system and uses low carbon energy from the District Heating Scheme. maber has provided an integrated design service comprising architecture, interiors and landscape design. The interiors are high quality with neutral, modern finishes suitable for the student market and take into account the need for low maintenance, robustness and ease of cleaning and replacement.

Extensive landscaping has been incorporated into the scheme promoting interaction in an engaging environment.
